As I keep posting this drawing I thought I should stick it into a thread where it's really easy to find:



If you're using the Prop-2 then P7/P6 becomes P15/P14 (or P13/P12) with the same rules: SETUP jumpers moved to UP and the ULN pins clipped.  With the Prop-2 you should use 38.4K baud as serial comms with the VMUSIC can result in a audio click if too long; 38.4k is very fast and minimizes this possibility.

Important note: to enable serial control of the VMUSIC you must place the jumper between 3.3v and the UART/SPI pin.
