As much as we love Halloween we also do a lot of work with "Hollywood" prop builders.  One guy, Steve, was tasked with recreating a futuristic gun from a game.  I stumbled across this video which has a brief shot of the gun -- move the time slider to about the 2:50 position.

The gun has a Prop-1 and AP-8; the Prop-1 tells the AP-8 to play a "loading" sound and then pulses a bunch of LEDs that live in various points int the gun.  The programming was easy; the real challenge for Steve was fitting the Prop-1 and AP-8 in the space he had.
