Hello all,

I have a few broken 17" laptop displays that I've saved after repairing laptops for family/friends.  The glass portion has been removed and I really just want to use the bulb connected to the inverter for some special lighting.

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to power the inverter to drive the bulb.  Since I have a few different models, are they all standard or would there be a real difference.

Here is a part numbers for one of the inverters:
CT: PC9B6012JU7368

There are five wires going into the inverter (Yellow, Orange, Red, Blue, Brown) and of course just two (Pink and White) coming out and to the bulb.  This is the same on all of the inverters.

Thanks for any help,

mike

An IC is part of the inverter circuit so I don't think it can be powered up by simply connecting two of the wires to a 12VDC source. The other thing to keep in mind is that the output voltage is usually 800 to 1000vac.
