John and I were saddened to learn of the passing of our friend, Kathryn DeSautell. We met Kathryn shortly after forming EFX-TEK. While I lived in Dallas I helped her program Prop-1 controllers for her haunt: Lafitte's Landing.
She was a very nice lady, with a smile that could light up a room. Those that knew her will miss her deeply.
We do not have all the details, but were told she passed in her sleep, possibly from heart failure. She and I were good friends, so I know that she battled and beat cancer three times. Still, chemotherapy is very tough on the body, and I cannot help but wonder if all the treatments Kathryn needed to beat cancer weakened her heart.
John and I will miss Kathryn -- she was a friend to us, and to EFX-TEK.
