John B had this idea to do a mini electric chair that "fries" a Chuckie doll... so we did.  We've been asked to provide a short "how-to" article for Make magazine (www.makezine.com) -- if things go well you'll be able to read about it in their Halloween issue.  In the meantime, here's Chuckie and his new hottie, Karmyn (www.karmyntyler.com), having a laugh before the switch is thrown:

And here's yours truly (www.jonmcphalen.com) recording the vocal elements that will go into the AP-8.

We had a huge amount of help with this project and want to extend our tremendous gratitude to these friends:

-- Jeremy Black ::
      Master woodworker who created the scale electric chair

-- "Scary" Terry Simmons (www.scary-terry.com), his wife, Marie, and son Kyle ::
      Prop creator extraordaire and all-around great guy (with a wonderful family); overall assembly, pneumatics, Chuckie mods for chair

-- Karmyn Tyler ::
      The best friend and neighbor a guy could have, shot all the photos for the article (except the one of her above) and helped me with audio recording

Note: Once we know the fate -- one way or another -- of the article we will post code, audio files, and demo video.  You can see Chuckie at HauntCon as we will have him in our booth.

For those that want to get a preview of Chuckie you can see a short clip that Karmyn shot the other day when I was demoing it for the neighbors -- you'll find it on her podcast (along with some really great music):
