Jon,

I cannot find a source for red, white black cable to make jumpers.  Can I purchase 25 feet from you?, or can you supply me with a source?

Thanks,

Bill

Bill,

We don't make those cables in-house; a specialty manufacturer produces them for us.  You can buy servo wire in bulk here:

http://www.servocity.com/html/servo_wire__bulk_.html

Let me suggest you go with the heavy-duty stuff, and if you're adding your own connectors you should crimp an solder (I do).  When cables are machine-manufactured the crimping is done at forces you cannot duplicate with a hand tool.

Thanks for the link, I'm tired of braiding three wires to make a cable.  Also thanks for the soldering tip.

Here's how I solder; this keeps the solder from fouling the connector:

-- crimp per usual
-- put a little [rosin] flux on the crimped connection
-- put a bit of solder onto your iron
-- touch the iron to the joint

The flux will clear everything when when the iron hits the joint and allow you to use just a tiny bit of solder -- you don't need a lot, you just want to "sweat" a little in.

Jon:

I ordered the Futaba, 50 foot cable on the 26th and received it on the 28th.  What great service, and it cost less than $20.  I had been searching quite a while for this cable.
Thanks again for the link to Servo City.
