AP-16+ Firmware Update -- Latest is 1.7 (28 JAN 2011)

This thread will be used to document changes in the AP-16+ firmware as they are released.

Files marked with + were not released to public

  1.7  :: * Doubled playback buffer size (again, now 4x original)
          * Increased serial time-out for Prop-1 (BS1)
          * Changed minor rev numbering
            -- can be "seen" by external controllers (as "1.7")
 
+ 1.6  :: * Enabled playback of 16-bit mono files
          * Add "R" command for serial relay control
 
+ 1.5  :: * Doubled playback buffer size
          * "NORELAY.TXT" on card disables auto relay
           
+ 1.4  :: * Fixed Left/Right channel swap
          * Does not play metadata stored at end of file
                                           
  1.3b :: * Increased serial command buffer size
            -- now 64 bytes
 
  1.3  :: * Increased START input(s) (dry, DC, PIR, button) debounce timing to ~150ms
          * Changed POST play delay to dual range
            -- first half of movement (CCW to mid-point): 0 to 30s
            -- second half of range (mid-point to CW): 30s to 3m 
   
  1.2  :: * Corrected RANDOMIZE (? on Config switch) feature
            -- previous versions could allow file repeats before all played
   
  1.1  :: * Added checks to ensure proper buffer used in WAV playback

The latest is actually 1.72; no new features, just some interior clean-ups of the code.  There is a beta 1.8 which allows individual relay control per file in the forums.
